John S. Friedberg
President & CEO

John is the consummate healthcare marketing communications expert in the category of emerging medical technologies. His deep client experience includes IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Agfa HealthCare, National Jewish Health, Beth Israel Medical Center, Aurora Imaging Technology, Siemens Medical, and Medtronic. His leadership role in orchestrating the launch strategy for Fonar, the first commercially available MRI, earned him the reputation early in his career for being “one of the truly innovative thinkers in the MD&DI arena.”

John served in leadership roles in New York City as President of MCM Medical, founding partner of Friedberg-Feder DeMasi, Executive VP, Managing Director of the Health Technologies unit of Cossette Communications; General Manager of ICC Lowe Redshift, and Executive Director of FLY Health. John has been a guest speaker at the UCLA Medical Marketing Seminar and has been a member of the faculty of the New York University Management Institute. John attended medical school at the University of Brussels. And continues to maintain a 4.0 rating on the tennis courts.

Marilyn Marsh
Account Services Director

Marilyn Marsh is account services director, managing accounts across the spectrum of agency clients. She has over 20 years of experience working with healthcare organizations to achieve their marketing goals. Her clients have included recognized category leaders like Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Medtronic as well as start-ups and new initiatives. She joined JRCC from FLY Health where she worked with John for two-and-a-half years. Previously, she was account director at DiMassimo Goldstein and vice president at Cossette Post, both NYC-based advertising agencies with health-focused, B2B and consumer clients.

Marilyn attended Smith College, earned a BA from Williams College and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Meir Calderon
Director of Strategy

Meir brings over 20 years’ consulting experience in brand strategy, corporate positioning, market research and communications planning to JRCC. He has worked with some of the world’s most respected brands and agencies, as well as having helped private equity and VC clients to conduct market diligence and manage their brand portfolios. Meir’s unique background includes executive management positions at Cossette Communications, TBWA/Chiat/Day, and EURO RSCG. Prior to these, Meir began his career with WPP Group, where he was the first worldwide Marketing Fellow to work in an integrated strategy role across various global operating units – including JWT, Ogilvy, and Hill & Knowlton.

Meir’s broad range of category experience includes prominent healthcare and medical clients such Pfizer, Sanofi Pasteur, GlaxoSmithKline, National Jewish Health, Agfa HealthCare, and BSC. He has also worked with leading global brands such as Volvo, Intel, Mars, DeBeers, Hilton Hotels, Cannondale, Baby Jogger, Carey International, Sony Ericsson, Coca-Cola, Beiersdorf, Philips Electronics, Siemens, Jaguar, and Kimberly-Clarke. Meir earned his M.B.A. in Marketing and Management from Columbia Business School.
